Before you arrive

Prepare

Ceremony is simpler when the practical things are already handled. Ticks stay on this device only — they are not sent to David.

For a sit at home

How to be in the room

  • Arrive a little early. Late energy is loud, even when you whisper.
  • You can say no to any offering. Consent is part of the medicine.
  • Do not photograph other people, the altar, or the medicines.
  • If you need to leave, leave. You do not owe a performance of staying.
  • What is shared in circle stays in circle.
  • Talk to David about health, medication, pregnancy, or fear before you sit.

Questions people actually ask

Do I need experience?

No. First-timers are welcome. You will be guided. Come curious, not prepared with a performance of being spiritual.

Will I hallucinate?

No. Hapé, sananga, cacao, Reiki, meditation and sound are not visionary psychedelics. They can be intense, emotional, or deeply still — you remain here.

What should I do after a ceremony?

Go slowly. Water, simple food, an early night, a few lines in the journal. Avoid stacking the evening with noise. Integration is mostly ordinary kindness toward yourself.

Can I do this at home instead?

Meditation, breath, journaling, and walking — yes, and this app is for that. Hapé and sananga are best received with a trained facilitator, especially the first times. Please do not learn them from a page.

Are hapé and sananga for anyone?

They are for adults 18 and over, in a held ceremony. They are not medical treatments. Read the health screening on the Book page before you reserve a place, and tell David about pregnancy, heart or blood-pressure issues, medications, and any eye condition.

Where does my journal go?

Only onto this phone or computer, in this browser. Clearing the site’s data, using a private window, or changing device will lose it. There is a Delete all control on the Journal page.

How do I book?

Use the booking page, email sacredstagwellness@icloud.com, or follow @sacredstagwellness. One-to-one work is in Heckfield, Hampshire. Group evenings are often at Soul Barns in Mortimer.
